Prussian Blue

Prussian Blue (Prussian Blue, chemically represented as Fe₄[Fe(CN)₆]₃·xH₂O) is an iron-containing inorganic compound that was originally used as a dye and has recently been extensively researched for use as the cathode material in sodium-ion batteries.

Application in Batteries:
In sodium-ion batteries, Prussian Blue analogs (PBAs) are considered promising cathode materials due to their unique three-dimensional open framework structure, which allows for efficient insertion and extraction of sodium ions.

It is a cost-effective, abundant, and environmentally friendly alternative material, and compared to lithium resources, it is more friendly to the supply chain.
